Baltimore City of Information and Technology Website Redesign

Description: Baltimore City has the vision of making BaltimoreCity.gov a true gateway to citywide information and services by providing a consistent, standardized look and feel across all associated websites and web pages. 

  • I am planning, conducting, and facilitating user interviews with the residents and business owners of Baltimore to gather insights on how they interact with baltimorecity.gov.

  • I am working to ensure that the website is accessible to users with unique physical, cognitive, and linguistic needs by completing accessibility heuristics evaluations.

  • I organized usability studies with the National Federation of the Blind to ensure the full accessibility of the site.

  • I am communicating with stakeholders, and team members from across Fearless, and other companies to make sure we are all aligned.

  • I kept track of incentives given to users who completed usability studies.

  • I made contact with numerous types of organizations and presented solutions to how we can recruit from a unique population.

Centers for Medicaid and CHIP Services

Description: CMCS's serves as a focal point for assistance and implementation of all national program policies relating to Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Basic Health Program (BHP);

  • I planned interviews to ensure that stakeholders were knowledgeable of what we hoped to learn from our user research.

  • I performed user research interviews on a variety of platforms and with a variety of user testing techniques including A/B testing.

  • I presented research findings to stakeholders and team members to ensure that we provided clear recommendations and insights. 

  • I observed workers to identify how they navigate the systems they currently use.

  • I planned and scheduled user interviews across multiple time zones and availabilities.

  • I met with developers and help desk workers to understand behind the scenes of where user frustrations grow.

Product Design Community of Practice Leader

Description: COPs are spaces for Fearless team members to foster discussions around specific practices, define them, and come together around the "how" and the "why" of what we do.

  • I and other leaders planned different types of educational meetings for the Product Design team. 

  • I would meet with team members to discuss the timing of events, virtual activities, and how we could make sure that guests were getting the information they needed. 

Yet Analytics - Director of Design

Description: At Yet Analytics I spoke with different teams to find smart solutions to their questions involving big data. As the sole user researcher, I wrote interview scripts, organized calendars for stakeholders, and presented research findings to separate teams.

  • Organized user interviews with the goal of designing user analytics dashboards.

  • Collected qualitative and quantitative data to collect research findings.

  • Completed research personas and journey mapping.

  • Presented competitor analysis of similar products.

  • Worked with a series of remote research tools and systems.
